1920s Swimsuit

The swimsuit in the 1920s was called a bathing costume. I found this wonderful survivor at a cute little antique store in a house in Belfry, Montana called Minnie Van Winkles Antiques. It was quite a surprise find and I nearly missed it. The shop was actually closed for the season but the owner happened to be there cleaning so let us look around. We learned that he and his wife named the shop after the original owner of the house. I just love that. And as we drove away noticed that the school’s team name was Bats. So they’re the Bats of Belfry. What a hoot!
