The Flapper Gown
Here’s an example of a Clara Bow style “flapper” gown worn for evenings. I purchased this at a thrift shop in the 1990s and actually wore it on stage when I performed as Vera in the musical, “Mame.” I can’t believe I did that. The gown was already 70 years old at the time. Now, over 100 years old, it was too fragile to even wear.
