I really do love this hat. And, yes, it is a pillbox, of the wider 1960s variety designed to fit over the latest new bouffant hairdos.

A Fluke!

This really is one of those fun, fluke pictures, which I shot with my iPhone on a 10-second delay. It was all done rather hurriedly and last minute. I just wanted to try out some new lighting tricks. That’s all. So, I grabbed a hat to go with my blue cowl-neck sweater which, of course, meant I had to have jewelry and a pair of gloves. I mean, it just wouldn’t be proper without them. Then, I just started snapping away, with only one hand up so I had an ungloved finger to hit the snap button. I simply adore the look. Now, I just need a bottom — the proper skirt and shoes. Time to go shopping!
