Carolers, Candlesticks, Carryall

And Accessories, Oh My!

A White Elephant Sale — Yippee!

No, I’m not excited about buying an actual white elephant.

I’m excited about all the wonderful vintage stuff I usually find at the White Elephant Sale held each fall in a church in my neighborhood.

It’s the perfect kind of sale for me because, well, I love old stuff and usually find something that will fit into my collection or that I can use in my exhibit.

And, this year’s sale did not disappoint. I found two little carolers (pictured inset) to go with my 1950s figurines and a bunch of other really cool stuff. Read on.

My Treasures: The little carolers and necklace set from the 1950s, satin padded hangers, candlesticks for my crystal orbs, a fringed pink pashmina and a blue 1950s suitcase to take it all home in and use for storage.

I would classify this beautiful 1950s set in the neutral category because it pairs with any and all of the Autumn colors, and even on black, of course. That would be stunning. You’ll find it for Sale in the Shop.

My Beautiful Blue & Brown Baubles!

I even picked up, as you can see, a leather-tooled checkbook cover and a vintage hair comb that looks like it’s from the 1940s.
